Dark Chocolate Bark

A stack of dark chocolate

So simple and so very addicting!

Bag of dark chocolate morsels

parchment paper

cookie sheet

Optional additives: Once you pour out the chocolate you can add any of the following…

Dried Apricots

Roasted cashews or almonds chopped

First line your cookie sheet or pan with parchment paper, draw with a pencil a medium-sized rectangle on the paper. You can either double boil and melt the chocolate that way or slowly microwave  and melt that way. I find that the double boil ( pot boiling with a steel bowl inside) eliminates most of the bubbles.  Pour out the chocolate into the rectangle and spread out evenly. Now sprinkle the dried fruit and nuts evenly. Place pan in freezer for at least 45 min. Remove and break into pieces and serve on a platter. Or wrap up in bags for gifts too!  Bet you cant have just one 🙂

Next time you  make this, try marshmallows and peppermint sticks or popcorn and caramel bits…

All assembled and ready for the freezer!
